Bylaws for South Carolina Crappie Association (Articles 1 & 2)

ARTICLE 1 - Name and Purpose

Section 1A: Name

This chapter shall be called the "South Carolina Crappie Association of Saluda, South Carolina".

Section 1B: Purpose

To bring public awareness of crappie fishing as a major fishing sport. To assist the state conservation department with our organizations moral and political support. To promote to the fullest the adherence to all conservation codes and to demand adequate water standards and help protect those standards by detecting and reporting any polluter and call public and political attention to his crime. To improve our skill as crappie anglers through a fellowship of friendly exchange of expert crappie-catching techniques and ideas, and to promote and encourage youth fishing, and a love for this great recreation.

ARTICLE II - Membership

Section 1: Number of Members

The chapter shall begin with and maintain at least twelve members.

Section 2: Requirement for Membership

To become a member, a person shall:

a. Voluntarily express a genuine interest in membership

Section 3: Membership Dues

The membership dues shall be $36 annually.

Section 4: Meetings of Members

The membership shall hold regular meetings at pre-established times, currently held on the Wednesday night before a scheduled tournament date at 7:00PM.
